Abstract

In the year of 1940, S. G. Lehnitzky obtained a rather general solution of the axialsymmetric deformation of a transversely isotropic body of revolution. His results will be generalized in this paper to the solution of threedimensional problems of a transversely isotropic body depending on three variables(coordinates).
