The national wind/photovoltaic/energy storage and transmission demonstration project is a large four-in-one renewable energy project, viz wind power, photovoltaic power, energy storage and transmission. The project is designed to build a hundred-megawatt-level wind farm, photovoltaic power station and energy storage station.Focusing on the scale and composition of wind power, photovoltaic and energy storage of the demonstration project, this paper describes the multi-configuration mode of operation and the switch conditions between different modes while analyzing the four control strategies of wind power, photovoltaic power and energy storage systems joint operation, namely, smoothing output power fluctuation, peak shaving and valley filling, tracking dispatch plan generation and power system frequency modulation, which are verified with actual operating results. It is proved by theory and practice that the combined power generation mode of wind, photovoltaic and energy storage is practical and capable of meeting the actual requirements on grid-connected renewable energy. This will be one of the leading directions for the development of new energy. And the wind/photovoltaic/energy storage and transmission demonstration project is a good demonstration of large-scale grid-connected new energy.
