：On the basis of collecting and arranging lots of data of municipal solid waste -MSW- of Chinese cities, industrical and elemental analyses and estimate have been done. A formula suited for estimating Chinese MSW's caloric value is put forward, and the relationship between MSW ingredients and caloric value is also discussed, offering reference for Chinese cities' looking for fit MSW treatments, especially MSW incineration technique.
