With respect to multiple attribute decision making(MADM) problems with linguistic information of attribute(values) and attribute weight values,a decision analysis approach is proposed.Firstly, the extended linguistic ordered weighted averaging(ELOWA) operator is proposed and properties of the operator are analyzed. Then, calculation steps for solving the MADM problem with linguistic information are given based on the ELOWA operator. In the approach, alternative (appraisal) values are calculated by the aggregation of linguistic information. Thus, the ranking of alternatives or selection of the most desirable alternative(s) is obtained by the comparison of linguistic two-tuple information. Finally,a numerical(example) is used to illustrate the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed approach.
