The Determination of the Composition of the Different Proteins of Ox and Horse Serum by the Method of Van Slyke
Biochemical Journal · 1914 · 38 citations · 2 references
Recent investigations have shown that serum albumin and serum globulin exhibit well marked differences in chemical composition. Abderhalden [1903, 1905] working with the proteins of horse serum found that albumin yielded no glycocoll on hydrolysis, while globulin gave 3-5 % of this amino acid.
