A 70-year-old woman presented with an 18-month history of recurrent episodes of dizziness that were alleviated by sugary drinks. During one of these episodes, a low blood glucose of 1.6 mmol/L was noted. Her past medical history included atrial fibrillation and severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), necessitating long-term oxygen therapy.
