Sarcoid Arthritis with a Response to Colchicine

Abstract

THE action of colchicine in gout is so dramatic and so specific that it has been considered to be of diagnostic as well as therapeutic value in this disease. It has been generally accepted that colchicine is of no value in any other type of arthritis.1 , 2 I have recently seen 2 patients with sarcoidosis and arthritis whose joint symptoms have responded dramatically to a course of colchicine.
