Outcome of double vs. single valve replacement for rheumatic heart disease.

Abstract

In patients with rheumatic heart disease having combined mitral and aortic valve disease DVR should be performed whenever indicated as it has similar in-hospital mortality and better late survival as compared to isolated aortic or mitral valve replacement.
