THE role of chemotherapy in the management of the child with neuroblastoma remains to be defined. Until recently, conventional therapy has consisted of a combination of surgery and radiotherapy, whereas chemotherapy has usually been reserved for palliation of children with advanced metastatic disease. This approach can be attributed to the fact that no specific agent has been of consistent value in the treatment of this neoplasm.
