Abstract

THE fact that adrenocortical hormones can be of considerable benefit in acute leukemia has long been recognized. In recent years a number of investigators have attempted to enhance the effectiveness of these hormones by administering massive doses.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The individual series reported, however, have generally been small, and the type of leukemia has not always been clearly classified.
