Programs to help men stop battering their partners are expanding rapidly, but little attention has been given to the efficacy of these programs. This article describes a multiple-baseline evaluation of a small-group program for men who batter women. The program helped seven of the nine men studied to end their physical abuse and another to reduce substantially his violent behavior.
