Abstract

This paper reports an adolescent male with progressive scoliosis that continued to progress despite a solid bony fusion. The diagnosis of idiopathic juvenile osteoporosis was made retrospectively. The cardinal features of idiopathic juvenile osteoporosis are discussed with particular emphasis on their impact in the management of the scoliosis.
