A computer-plotting program is described which aids in the qualitative analysis of chromatographic output. Sample outputs are shown for individual chromatograms with corrected baseline drift and solvent peak elimination. It is also shown that two or more chromatograms can be presented in a three-dimensional perspective view. This facilitates rapid visual comparison to determine whether there are differences in the characteristics of individual peaks, between chromatograms. The input data for the computer program includes retention time, peak area or peak height, and a measurement or estimate of peak width. The program is user-oriented and provides ready access for the chromatographer to computer-plotting capabilities.
