Abstract

2-Acetoamidoethyl (p-chlorophenyl) (m-trifluoromethylphenoxy) acetate (halofenate) has been established as a potent hypolipemic agent in the rat, significantly lowering, in a dose-response relationship, plasma cholesterol, triglycerides, phospholipids, and free-fatty acids.
