Abstract

N the first chapter of Ulysses the Englishman Haines is conwiX t fronted by Stephen Dedalus' mystical concept of Shakespeare * X i and says, rather confusedly, I read a theological interpretation of it somewhere . .. the Father and the Son idea. ITe Son striving to be atoned with the Father. From this indeterminate point of criticism, if it even be criticism, there is something to be learned about the Henry VI plays.
