Abstract

Figure 2 in this paper depicts the infection cycle of the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae. The scanning electron microscope image in the bottom right of the figure was first published in Mendgen K, Lesemann D-E (eds). 1991. Electron Microscopy of Plant Pathogens, Springer-Verlag, Berlin. This should have been acknowledged in the accompanying figure legend. The authors apologise for this oversight.
