Hearing Loss Is Associated With Decreased Nonverbal Intelligence in Rural Nepal

Abstract

Nonverbal intelligence is adversely affected by bilateral hearing loss even at mild hearing loss levels. Socio economic well-being appears compromised in individuals with lower nonverbal intelligence test scores.
