Nickel Hypersensitivity Associated With an Intratubal Microinsert System

Abstract

If a patient experiences symptoms of an allergic reaction after hysteroscopic sterilization, referral to an allergy specialist is recommended. If nickel hypersensitivity is confirmed, the microinserts should be removed; this may be performed under hysteroscopic guidance.
