Combined Liquid Chromatographic/Mass Spectrometric Analysis of Carbamate Pesticides

Abstract

A method for the analysis of a group of 19 carbamate pesticides by high performance liquid chromatography/mass spectprometry to presented. Various parameters affectings the analysis, such as flow rate and vaporizer heater settings,are considered and their optimization is described results obtained using both scanning and selected ion monitoring are presented. Detection by mass spectrometry is compared to detection by ultraviolet absorbtion.
