SummaryTreatment of rabbits with tranylcypromine followed by the injection of reserpine produces central nervous system stimulation and a marked rise in rectal temperature. The effects produced by tranylcypromine are assumed to reflect the activity of this agent as an inhibitor of monoamine oxidase.
