Cartilage Tympanoplasty in Smokers

Abstract

Cartilage tympanoplasty has success rates and postoperative audiological measures that are comparable between smokers and nonsmokers. In smokers, cartilage grafting is superior to noncartilage grafting and is recommended for any patient who smokes and is undergoing tympanoplasty.
