A novel design strategy is developed which demonstrates the synthesis of mesoporous p-type Cu<sub>2</sub>ZnSnS<sub>4</sub>(CZTS)/n-type TiO<sub>2</sub> heterojunction photocatalyst, with enhanced performance for its application in CO<sub>2</sub> photoreduction to hydrocarbon fuel, CH<sub>4</sub>.
