We report a novel method for synthesizing γ-Fe2O3 nanotubes based on the use of high magnetic field. The characterization data confirm the formation of well crystalline γ-Fe2O3 nanotubes, ranging from ∼300 nm in diameter and up to ∼30 µm in length. They exhibit room-temperature typical ferromagnetic behavior.
