Sets of 10-film intra-oral roentgenographs from 270 cases admitted to the 2nd Hospital of Tokyo Women's Medical College were examined. But only molar teeth were considered in this investigation. The Periodontal bone height was assessed by the method of Björn, Halling and Thyberg (1969).Results were:Difference of periodontal bone hights between teeth restorated with metal crown (Table 1), with metal filling (Table 2) and non-treated teeth (Table 1)MC: teeth with crown CO: control teeth M: medial surface D: distal surface *p<0.05 **p<0.01A highly significant differnce in bone level between teeth restorated restorated with metal crown or metal filling and non-treated teeth.
