Post-Discharge Venous Thromboembolism After Cancer Surgery

Abstract

One-third of VTE events in cancer surgery patients occurred postdischarge. Postoperative VTE was associated with operation type. Routine postdischarge VTE prophylaxis should be considered for high-risk patients.
