A larger series of patients may show some without this titer of antibodies at, or before the onset of paralysis as did a group we reported who appeared to have been infected with a Lansing-like strain, but among this group of 7 patients, ranging from 2 to 16 years of age, antibodies were definitely present either before infection or had already developed by the time of onset of paralysis.
