Abstract

Dr. Lansing's experiments represent an attempt to increase our knowledge of biologic aspects of aging. In these experiments the effect of parental age on longevity of progeny through successive generations has been traced with rather startling results. It has been found that progeny of old parents do not live as long as those of young parents; the possible significance of this observation in a mechanism of aging is discussed.
