The concept of unified fluid chromatography is described. Different-mode separations can be carried out with a single chromatographic system by changing the column temperature and the pressure. Gas chromatographic separation of hydrocarbons and subsequent supercritical fluid chromatographic separation of styrene oligomers are carried out in series in a single chromatographic run.
