The influence of thiamine deficiency on the susceptibility of M. mulatta to experimental poliomyelitis has been studied in 40 animals. The results indicate that this species, when deficient in thiamine, does not exhibit an increased resistance to poliomyelitis virus in contrast to the well-demonstrated resistance of Swiss mice similarly fed.1, 8
