Cα II Emission in Lambda and Zeta Andromedae.

Abstract

A discussion of the behavior of the calcium emission lines in X And and And is given, together with a discussion of other binary systems showing calcium emission lines. There appears to be a period-luminosity relationship among late-type binaries having Ca n emission.
