Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote health and wellbeing and is becoming increasingly popular with the general public. Many occupational therapists and other professionals are considering its use in the therapeutic environment. This article explores the therapeutic potential of aromatherapy within occupational therapy and examines some of the different ways in which it could be used.
