Abstract

An overview of the many techniques used to collect information about the separation behavior of stored weapons when released from aircraft is provided. Methods used in wind tunnel testing, flight testing, data processing, and computation are described. Within the framework of this overview, a series of lessons learned concerning best practices for using individual methods as well as for integrating information from multiple sources into validated and accurate ground simulations is presented.
