Abstract

The synthesis of [Co(7-C4H4N(CH2)3-8-R-7,8-C2B9H9)(η5-NC4H4)] (R = CH3, C6H5), the first molecule reported incorporating [η5-NC4H4]- and an organic C−NC4H4 group, is described. The molecular structure of the compound for R = CH3 is indicated in the diagram.
