Twenty-seven species of marine Ostracoda from British lower Cretaceous rocks are figured and described. The new subgenus Acrocythere is defined, together with three new species, two new subspecies and one new name to replace a homonym. Eight species are left under nomenclatura aperta. Comparisons are made with Hauterivian and Barremian ostracode faunas of northern Europe.
