Mediastinal Venography

Abstract

Transfemoral venous catheterization enables the radiographic exploration of a larger number of mediastinal venous structures through a single technical approach. The normal anatomy of mediastinal veins and some variations are discussed. Examples of abnormal mediastinal venography are presented, emphasizing that the demonstration of abnormalities confined to a minor venous channel is made possible by this method.
