Abstract

On soft horse serum agar containing high concentrations of penicillin, colonies corresponding to the L1 of Strepto-bacillus moniliformis were isolated from typhoid bacilli. Cultures obtained from these colonies could be propagated indefinitely on similar media either with or without the addition of penicillin.
