A skewed two-parameter distribution is described which has been found useful in the analysis of human survival time data. The density is integrable and has manageable first and second moments. Since the distribution has non-zero density at the origin it may be of value in connection with those types of responses which take place even before observation begins. Description of a maximum likelihood technique of estimating the parameters is followed by discussion of damage models that incorporate the distribution.
