The eggs of Kermes kingi Cockerell are located under the female's venter which moves dorsad forming two chambers as eggs are deposited. While the eggs are laid they are covered by wax filaments secreted by multilocular pores on the venter. Eggs are ca. 393 ¼ long and 181 ¼ wide, they weigh ca. 0.0068 mg, and each female deposits an average of 2,820 eggs.
