Double alkoxides of zirconium with alkaline earth metals

Abstract

Volatile double isopropoxides M[Zr2(OPri)9]2 and MZr3(OPri)14 of zirconium with alkaline earth metals (M = Mg, Ca, Sr or Ba) are described. Their likely structures are discussed on the basis of alcoholysis studies, molecular weights, i.r. and N.M.R. spectra.
