Zinc oxide nanopillar was synthesized by simple and cost-effective wet chemical method and characterized by several techniques. The XRD confirmed hexagonal wurtzite phase and the crystal quality of the nanostructure. The band gap was calculated using Tauc’s plot from reflectance spectra. The morphology of ZnO nanostructure was studied using SEM analysis. The prepared ZnO nanopillar shows photoelectrocatalytic activity against oxalic acid oxidation.
