An apparatus for produ cing atmosph eres of known r elative humidity, based on t he "two-pressure principle", is described. It has a working space (test chamber) of 1 cubic foot, in which t he relative humidi ty may be varied and con trolled from 10 to 98 percent, the tem perature from -40 0 to + 40 0 C, the a ir flow up to 150 liters per minu te, and t he testchamber press ure from 7~ to 2 atmospheres. The humidi ty in the test chamber may be set and maintained to an acc uracy of at least 7f of I-per cent relative humidity.
