Twisted metamaterials, i.e. arrays of identical planar metasurfaces stacked with a sequential rotation, offer new possibilities for manipulating and engineering wave propagation. This paper presents a generalized Floquet analysis to discuss wave propagation in these kind of structures. The authors show that the eigenmodes support specific circular polarization properties based on a lattice effect even when achiral inclusions are considered.
