Interfacial Structure in Vertical Upward Annular Flow

Abstract

The paper describes two types of measuring devices developed to obtain quantitative data both on time-varying Interfacial profiles around a tube and the behavior of large waves. An attempt is made to display the three-dimensional contours of the gas-liquid Interface by means of a computer-aided graphics technique. Some typical graphics illustrated in bird's-eye view are presented which were processed from experimental data on vertical upward air-water two-phase annular flow.
