Abstract

1. An interaction between activated Factor IX and Factor VIII which is independent of Factor X has been confirmed using human reagents. The product, activated Factor VIII, is a very labile activity. 2. Lipid has been shown to be a mandatory cofactor in the interaction of Factor VIII and serum factors in the presence of thrombin.
