Antibiotics to Two spotted Spider Mite in Upland and American Puma Cotton12

Abstract

Antibiotics to Tetranychus uticae Koch was demonstrated in Pima varieties compared to ‘Delta pine 16’ by a reduction in fecundity. The reduction was demonstrated in mites transferred to Puma and in mites reared on Puma then transferred to beans. The mean life cycle of the female mite was lengthened when reared on ‘Puma S-2’ when compared with Delta pine 16.
