Abstract

The results point out 2 magnetic resonance signal intensity patterns for asbestos-related pleural lesions: (i) low-signal intensity on unenhanced and enhanced T1-weighted and proton density and T2-weighted images for benign plaques and (ii) nonhomogeneous hyperintensity in T2-weighted and enhanced T1-weighted images for malignant mesotheliomas.
