Summary Injuries of the distal humerus in very young children are difficult to diagnose accurately since the region is primarily cartilaginous and is not well demonstrated by plain roentgenograms. The case of an 11-month-old child is presented in which an arthrogram was performed to determine the injury pattern and appropriate treatment. Arthrography in acute elbow injuries in children is shown to be helpful in establishing the correct diagnosis.
