Efficacy of Surgical Wound Drainage in Orthopaedic Trauma Patients: A Randomized Prospective Trial

Abstract

There is no significant difference between drained and nondrained wounds in clean, nonurgent orthopaedic trauma surgery. It appears that drainage systems can be safely eliminated in this group.
