Abstract

Studies on the mutation process center around three basic problems: The mechanistic background of the mutation, the chain of reactions leading from the gene or chromosome change to the final expression, and the viability reaction of a mutation, in conditions optimal or adverse to the mother strain, in homozygous or in heterozygous state.
