Evaluation of prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease in a regional controlled case study

Abstract

This study shows that the prenatal detection rate for CHD increased in a well-defined population over the study period. Prenatal diagnosis thus has had a major impact on patients with the most severe types of CHD and has resulted in a significant reduction in severe CHD at birth.
